Fencing Estimator - St Albans

St Albans Location

Due to an exceptional period of growth, ABC Fencing are seeking to recruit a Fencing Estimator on a permanent basis, to join our team based at our St Albans Head Office and Depot (Junction 22 of M25).

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ fencing industry estimating experience.
• Computer literate especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Educated to GCSE A-C Standard in Maths and English.
• Well presented, articulate and personable.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
• Wide knowledge of Commercial Fencing and High Security Fencing.

Duties will include:

• Receiving customer enquiries by email and telephone.
• Extracting relevant drawings, specifications and other information required for pricing.
• Liaison with suppliers to gain material quotations, scrutiny of supplier prices to determine the best combination of suppler prices to be incorporated within the companies quotation / offer for the work detailed.
• Compiling detailed, complete and accurate quotations and submission of these to the customer using agreed templates.
• Follow up of quotations with customers.
• Management of customer order documentation.
• Liaison and handover to Operations department for installation.
• Assisting Operations team with pricing of variations and valuations of works.

The ideal candidate will have experience of pricing fencing contacts in the School, Commercial and Security Sectors, and should be able to demonstrate a history of secured contracts of various values for :Main Contractors, Schools, Commercial and Security Sectors.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude and work safely as part of a team.

Trainee Fencing Estimator - St Albans

St Albans Location

ABC Fencing are seeking to recruit a Trainee Fencing Estimator on a permanent basis, to join our team based at our St Albans Head Office and Depot (Junction 22 of M25).

Training will be given, which may include external training and on site experience.

Requirements:

• Positive can-do attitude and outgoing personality
• Computer literate especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Educated to GCSE A-C Standard in Maths and English.

• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Duties as training progresses and after training will include:

• Receiving customer enquiries by email and telephone.

Apprentice Fencing Installers

Based from our St Albans Depot (Junction 22 of M25)

ABC Fencing are regularly on the look out for Apprentice Fencing Installers, to join our existing installation teams based at our St Albans Depot (Junction 22 of M25).

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidates to learn a trade and join a well established business, which specialises in perimeter boundaries for the residential sector through to commercial, school and high security sectors.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude and work safely as part of a team.

The duties are to install high quality security fences at various sites around the UK. Training and guidance will be provided to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Fencing Installation certification.

Initial rates of pay would be as per government rates for apprentices. Reviewed regularly based upon performance and progress. Full training takes 2-3 years after which earning potential would be 41k per annum basic wage plus uncapped price work.

Lead Fencing Installer

Based from our St Albans Depot (Junction 22 of M25)

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience installing various types of fencing and hold a CSCS Blue Card of higher or hold NVQ Level 2 in Fencing Installation. A SSSTS qualification or higher is an advantage but not essential. A full driving licence is also a requirement.

For the right applicant we offer excellent rates of pay based on £41k basic wage and uncapped price work, a fully equipped company vehicle and 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays.

Due to the sensitive nature of the sites we work upon and clearances required, those with a criminal record cannot be considered.

Sub Contract Fencing Installer

Based from our St Albans Depot (Junction 22 of M25)

We are always happy to hear from High Quality Sub Contract Fencing Installers. In order to Sub Contract from ABC Fencing, the lead Subcontractor must hold CSCS Blue Card of higher or hold NVQ level 2 in Fencing installation.

An SSSTS or SMSTS qualification is also an advantage. Additional members of Sub Contractor’s gangs must hold a CSCS General Green Card as a minimum requirement. Sub-Contractors should have their own vehicle (not sign written), and small plant. You must also carry your own valid public liability insurance.
